Communiqué officiel – Sébastien Frey devient notre ambassadeur
L’AS Cannes est fière d’annoncer l’arrivée de Sébastien Frey au sein du club, où il occupera un rôle de représentation et d’ambassadeur du projet cannois.
À travers son image, son parcours et son aura internationale, Sébastien Frey apportera une nouvelle dimension au développement de l’AS Cannes, en contribuant activement au rayonnement du club, en France comme à l’étranger.
Cette collaboration s’inscrit dans une volonté forte de structurer un projet ambitieux, fidèle à l’histoire du club tout en étant résolument tourné vers l’avenir.
Ce retour à l’AS Cannes revêt une dimension symbolique particulière. Formé au club, Sébastien Frey y a posé les premières pierres d’une carrière exceptionnelle au plus haut niveau, et c’est avec fierté et émotion qu’il revient aujourd’hui là où tout a commencé, dans un esprit de transmission et d’engagement.
Sebastien Frey : « Je suis extrêmement fier de revenir à l’AS Cannes, le club qui m’a formé, tant sur le plan sportif qu’humain. C’est ici que tout a commencé pour moi, et c’est grâce à l’AS Cannes que j’ai pu construire la carrière que j’ai ensuite menée au plus haut niveau. Aujourd’hui, il me paraît naturel de rendre au club une partie de ce qu’il m’a donné, en mettant mon expérience, mon engagement et mon image au service de son projet, pour contribuer à écrire les prochaines pages de son histoire, dans le respect de ses valeurs et de son héritage. »
Déjà présent à nos côtés lors du lancement du programme Cannes Legends, Sébastien Frey poursuivra son implication dans ce projet structurant, qu’il aura à cœur de faire vivre et de développer à travers différents événements au cours des prochaines années. Ce programme vise à valoriser l’héritage du club, à rassembler ses grandes figures et à renforcer le lien entre les générations.
Son arrivée permettra de faire perdurer l’histoire de l’AS Cannes à travers un visage emblématique de son identité, tout en fédérant l’ensemble des acteurs du club autour d’une ambition commune : faire briller l’AS Cannes aujourd’hui et demain.

Having been developed at the club, Sébastien Frey took his first steps here before going on to enjoy an outstanding career at the highest level. Today, he returns to where it all began, driven by a strong sense of commitment, legacy and transmission.
